Mission Tours and Camel Confrontations

So we got to go on mission tour last week! It was awesome!!!!!!!!!  I saw lots of great friends and made some new ones!!  We had an incredible time at the Edmonton Temple, it was incredible!!!  The spirit was very strong and calming, and I received several answers to prayers, and had some very awesome conversations! And that's about the end of the good news....  So it took us all day to get back home, which kinda messed up our schedule...  a bunch of appointments fell through...  Investigator's parents became involved in the lives of their children (who, mind you, are adults, and have moved out....)

On the good side, we had fun at the zoo, we got to work in the camel area!!  (Did you know they kill humans?) Oh, And I've started baking bread!! With the camel.  Miracles still happen.  Neither of us were very worried, the male was in the other pen, behind a gate.  The female had always been quiet and minded her own.  When the worker left to grab something, the female began to show signs of aggression.  Neither of us had ever experienced this before, but through the chaos, the Spirit spoke to my mind.  I stood firm before her, and with the words and power of the Priesthood of God echoing in my mind I could not fear.  She apparently felt this also, as she started to understand that we weren't there to be messed with.

Bulls and Camels and Bears! Oh My!!!

Well, lets see,

So,  the Guzoo has been getting even better!!!  So since we last talked, we've hauled a total of 300 bales of hay (18"x12"x48"), built a habitat for a fawn, fed camels, played with bulls, walked horses, aplacas, ran petting zoos, and played with some bear cubs.

That's right, by the raise of hands, who here has been bitten by a bear on their mission.  Oh that's right, you don't have any hands left!!!!!! So that would make this the coolest mission ever!!!!!!  Oh, by the way, I also got to play with the fawn...  :D

Well, in terms of actual missionary work.  Things are going super well!!!  We're about to have our first baptism!!  And we have a bunch of other folks lining up for the font!  Haha jk, well, we had a crazy answer to prayer. The work was sucking... and I was reading in Ether 12, about faith and how the Alma, Ammon, Nephi, Lehi, etc. relied on the powers of heaven. So my companion and I made a special effort to "call on the powers of heaven." and it rained like crazy!!! (blessings and water, oh well...) So in the following 3 days we placed 6 copies of the BoM and got a bunch of new investigators! Families, part-member families, students, workers, everyone! We have a bunch of appointments setup, a baptism this weekend, and we had 2 less active families came to church!! (Some haven't been there for years!!)
